Welcome

Close your eyes.

(Well, don’t really close them as we want you to keep reading. Pretend you have.)

Imagine a beautiful Saturday morning. Your family wakes up, gets washed and ready, and heads over to the local farmers market to gather ingredients for the week’s meals. You arrive at a packed parking lot, buzzing with peals of laughter and music, and gather your canvas tote bags for shopping. You start making the rounds, recognizing fellow parents from school activities, your children racing over to excitedly greet classmates, grabbing their hands to draw them to the playground. You see dogs on leashes, babies pushed in strollers, college students on scooters, and elders pacing their steps with walkers.

Let’s not leave out the poodles who also get up early to do their farmers barket shopping!

At each vendor’s booth, you’re met with a familiar face who’s eager to know how life has gone since last you spoke: the JV soccer game, the solo in the school play, the new job or challenging loss. One by one, you’re greeted by name; each interaction, a heartfelt exchange. And there, on offer, fresh produce as far as the eye can behold; every fruit and vegetable bred to be born for this season, bursting with flavors of soil and sun.

The baked goods and breads are so fluffy and crisp you grasp the real meaning of grain; artisanal sauces and jams, honey harvested from bees raised by the same hands waving hello; cut wildflowers, organic, pasture-raised eggs, milk white as an arctic drift poured in glass bottles, still tasting of sweet grass and dew; herbs and spices campfire roasted for days.

You stock up on all the essentials, the nutty and floral aftertastes of samples still lingering in your mouth. And you’ve left just enough time to peruse the artists and craftspeople, summoning loved ones who would appreciate a hand-made, one-of-a-kind gift for some special occasion. Or perhaps, a little indulgence for yourself.

This isn’t a pipedream.

This is the reality our cottage goods business, Buy From Friends (BFF), wants to help create.

Will you join us in making it happen?
